Cook your traditional snack with council members for the One World Week 2019!

· Raad,Leefbaarheid

Have you ever wondered what you might find outside the Wageningen University bubble? It’s the city, Wageningen! A city where local Wageningers, students and internationals come together in one place. A city which is run by the municipality and 25 council members who represent you and other people in Wageningen.

During the One World Week, on 5th of April from 16:00-18:00 council members would love to welcome you at the municipality! Come and enjoy a guided tour behind the scenes through the city hall building. Exchange your ideas and experiences in Wageningen on for example housing, language barriers or sustainability through a fun speed date. Show off your knowledge during the quiz and win prizes. And last but not least, let’s share experiences from your country on how democracy is organised there.

Match up with a council member and cook a traditional snack from your country

The snacks served on the 5th of April will be made by you and council members! We are looking for students who would like to cook together with council members prior to the event. It’s a nice way to get to know each other better. And, you will already know someone during the event! How does it work?

  1. Sign up with your friend, roommate, house, family or as an individual using the following form before 29th of March. https://goo.gl/forms/42cEu2qceTjHxuW83
  2. You will receive your match with contact details via mail
  3. Council members will contact you to organise time, date and location to cook together
  4. Join the Hello, Wageningen event on Friday 5th of April, 16:00-18:00 at the municipality

Everyone is welcome! Dutch and internationals.

Note: You do not need to sign up to attend the event on Friday 5th of April. Only sign up if you would like to participate in cooking your traditional snack!
